New Danish Shorts

Friday 17. november, 19:15 @ Cinemateket

This year’s Danish program features six films that deal with a wide variety of topics in original ways and spotlights some of the talented new voices in Danish cinema.

In one film a teenager discovers his sexuality while trapped on a boat with his family. In another a friendship is tested when 3 friends compete in their school’s annual lip sync contest. Elsewhere a man endures pain in order to retrieve a mysterious object at the bottom of a dark lake. A boy fights for another boy’s girlfriend and considers how to employ an assassin, and an eagle embarks on a perilous journey to reach an enchanted tree in a barren world. Finally, a small parrot challenges his master in a fatal battle for his freedom.
After the screening there will be a Q&A with the filmmakers.
