New International Shorts

Thursday 16. november, 19:00 @ Husets Biograf

For the first time CSFF has assembled a block of new international works, 5 films picked from the thousands that were submitted from all over the world!

In one film we experience an Iranian girl bidding her mother goodbye, a farewell that might not however be as heartfelt as it first appears. Another short deals with the blurring of the boundaries between animal and man, while another spotlights the return of a young Romanian girl to her poor family. Elsewhere a lonely woman is compelled to confront her past after her mother’s sudden death, and finally we examine an episode in a child’s everyday routine which seems insignificant at first but proved to be anything but.

These are five very different films but all demonstrate the basic tenants of the narrative art form and prove that the language of storytelling is an international one indeed.
