The teenage years can be a confusing time dictated by great emotions and existential thoughts. It is a time where one begins to break free from the safety of one’s parents, discovers values and starts to determine one’s adult identity. It is a time of firsts and lasts. This program will guide you through some of the essential aspects of the teenage experience. It will touch upon themes of love, loss, ambition, friendship, sexual awakening and many more. The films originate from across the globe, from Ireland to Kazakhstan, but are all connected through their characters’ coming-of-age journeys, which transcend borders and remain universal.
